Student Assistant, DevOps

Ballerup Part time

Would you like to help optimize our build and test environment for hearing aid firmware? And are you ready to gain practical experience with cloud services and tools?

Join us as a Student Assistant in DevOps to work with Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, GitHub, Ansible, Podman, Docker, Kubernetes, ADO and a combination of C#, C and Python code in a DevOps environment, as you walk the line between software and hardware integration.

Welcome to GN Hearing – we know sound

At GN Hearing, we balance scientific research with advanced skills across advanced hearing aids and accessories. Joining us at our office in Ballerup, you become part of our DevOps team, which currently consists of 7 senior developers, who work together to create software for our high-tech hearing devices and wireless accessories.

You will also be working with the neighbouring test team, where you will find 4 other student workers, and together, you help the rest of the team develop and verify features and ensure software functionality in new devices and products.

As a Student Assistant, you will work closely with 2 of our senior DevOps people, and you can look forward to a thorough introduction to your tasks and learning how to work with our environment.

We offer a very flexible work environment where you will have ample opportunity to plan your work to accommodate exams and schoolwork.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

  • Help automate and streamline our environment and make life easier for our firmware developers.

  •  Create and update infrastructure-as-code to via Ansible.

  • Set up and configure PC’s and other equipment needed to build up and maintain our test systems.

  • Work with containerization of our development environment for hearing aids, as well as PC software.

  • Get involved in any other DevOps work, where you may already know enough to be able to help out.

To thrive in the role, we imagine that you:

  • Are studying for a degree in computer science, engineering or similar with a couple of years left of your studies

  • Know your way around in the DevOps world

  • Work collaboratively and are keen to learn and gain knowledge that cannot be acquired solely from studying. You have a systematic approach to your work and a great sense of detail.

  • Have good communication skills in written and spoken English
