Responsibilities are basic and routine in nature. This may include performing administrative duties in an office, assisting in a research laboratory, aid faculty/staff in supporting academic programs or patient care. Duties will be clear and direct. The Student Assistant will require excellent customer service and strong organizational skills and will represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
Archival Assistant The NRL Archival Assistant will lead the creation of the Nuclear Reactor Laboratory’s special collection of historical pictures and documents in celebration of The Ohio State University Research Reactor’s 65th anniversary. Consists of sorting and organizing materials, labeling folders, minor archival preservation tasks, data entry, creating finding aids, digitizing materials, creating displays, suggesting content for website, and materials maintenance projects (such as shelf reading, re-boxing, or re-labeling). May assist with other departmental projects as needed. Must be available to work between the hours of 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday-Thursday. Can begin on or after May 11 and work through August 3, 2026. Additional Information: Ability to follow directions as given with attention to detail. Neat, legible handwriting. Good organizational skills. Experience entering information into a computer database or content management system. Previous experience in an environment performing organizational tasks with documents or records, preferably in an office, archives, or special collections environment, is a plus.
