About This Opportunity

We are seeking a Student and Academic Administration Officer within the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences to provide high quality, student‑centred administrative services in a collaborative and purpose‑driven environment. Working closely with academic and professional colleagues, this role contributes to a seamless student experience by delivering accurate advice, responsive support, and reliable administration across the student lifecycle, aligned with University policies, procedures and legislative requirements. This opportunity sits at the heart of the Faculty’s commitment to enabling learning, teaching and engagement at scale, supporting thousands of students each year.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing timely and accurate information to students, staff and stakeholders within University policies, procedures, guidelines and relevant legislation.

  • Processing applications and documentation relating to admission, progression, enrolment, study abroad, surveillance and other student administration activities.

  • Undertaking academic administration tasks including maintaining electronic course profiles and Blackboard sites, timetabling, grade uploads and amendments.

  • Contributing to continuous improvement by assisting with the review of procedures, processes and administrative systems, and supporting the implementation of agreed changes.

This is a full-time (100%), continuing position at HEW Level 5.

About You

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a high‑volume environment.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in written and system‑based work.

  • Proven ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement while working independently and autonomously.

  • Well‑developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders.

  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team and across organisational units.

  • A strong commitment to delivering high quality customer service.

  • Experience in student administration within a tertiary education institution or large, complex organisation will be highly regarded, along with familiarity with systems such as Microsoft Office, SI‑net, Business Objects or CRM platforms.
