Student Aid Coordinator 1 position will oversee the awarding process for all state-issued programs (TOPS, MJ Foster, GO Grant, Chaffee, etc.) which includes resolving issues with these programs. The Student Aid Coordinator 1 must have excellent communication skills and be willing to work with the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Aid Assistance to resolve discrepancies with student accounts. This position will also be responsible for communicating with students and/or other faculty and staff
regarding updates to student award amounts and required documentation needed for further review, determination and processing of their state-issued program. The Student Aid Coordinator 1will be responsible for reporting grades at the end of each academic term to LOSFA for all applicable programs as well as the reconciliation of these programs. The Student Aid Coordinator 1 will handle all other tasks/responsibilities per the request of the Financial Aid Office Director.
Job Responsibilities:
80% This position will handle the loading, billing, reporting, adjustments and reconciliation of all state-issued programs such as TOPS, MJ Foster, Chafee, GO Grant etc. Maintain communication with students regarding changes and troubleshoot/resolve issues with billing/grade reporting etc.
20% Provide Assistance to students with questions regarding their state-issued programs via phone, email or office visit.
All other tasks as assigned by the Financial Aid Director.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate's degree or 2 or more years in Financial Aid Office.
