Structural ModellerKBR continued its strong growth throughout 2025, securing major Defence and infrastructure programs—and we’re set for even greater momentum in 2026. As our Structural team expands, we’re looking for a skilled Structural Modeller to support the delivery of high‑impact Defence and building projects. While Adelaide is the preferred location, we are also open to candidates based in our Perth or Sydney offices.
The Opportunity:
As our Structural Modeller, you’ll be responsible for producing accurate, detailed structural models and documentation that underpin some of South Australia’s most significant Defence and infrastructure projects. You’ll independently manage modelling tasks, support project delivery, and collaborate closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
You’ll also have opportunities to lead smaller modelling packages, guide graduate modellers, and represent KBR within industry networks—while developing your own BIM and Revit capability in a supportive, growing team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Develop and maintain accurate Revit models and documentation for structural components
Deliver modelling outputs within agreed budgets, timeframes, and technical standards
Lead small modelling packages or workstreams, coordinating deliverables and resources
Provide technical guidance and support to graduate modellers
Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated project delivery
Prepare and present modelling outputs to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
Maintain strong, professional communication with clients and project partners
Participate in industry events and maintain active professional networks
Stay current with BIM technologies, industry standards, and modelling best practices
Contribute technical insights to business development activities and client engagement
What You’ll Bring:
Diploma in Drafting, Building Design, or a related discipline
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and BIM workflows
Understanding of structural detailing standards and relevant Australian codes
Familiarity with model coordination, clash detection, and document control processes
A minimum of 3 years’ structural modelling experience in building and/or Defence environments
Proven ability to independently produce accurate, high‑quality Revit models and documentation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Proactive approach to learning emerging BIM technologies
Experience coordinating small modelling packages or working closely with engineers
Exposure to multidisciplinary project environments (advantageous)
Australian Citizenship (mandatory for Defence project work)
