An exciting and challenging opportunity is available for Stress M&T Solutions development within Airbus commercial Aircraft, joining the Structural Analysis M&T Solutions department.

The position can be based in either Filton (UK) or Toulouse (Fr).

Join our fully transnational Stress Methods & Tools team, responsible for defining and developing the run mode and future Stress Tools used for sizing and certification of current and next-generation Airbus products. This role requires a unique combination of expert coding skills, solid airframe structural knowledge, and strong collaborative soft skills to drive digitalization and capability development.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM :

  • Contribute to the implementation of existing methods and tools applied on current airbus programs securing the required improvements in terms of performance and maintaining the business continuity.

  • Contribute to the migration of legacy tools (BOTS, VBA macros...) and to the automation of processes into ISAMI in line with Airframe Engineering digital strategy, and, in particular supporting the SPARROW project.

  • Contribute to the definition of new methods and tools to define, evolve and set the standard for a new sizing and optimization capabilities for future targeting significant challenges in terms of lead time and data continuity and coherency across
    development processes.

  • Develop specific capabilities within the Stress Solver Repository in C++ and or Python in line with the ambition above.

  • Contribute to the definition and development of next gen platform including transverse services, multidisciplinary capabilities (such design to stress, surrogate models, AI, FEM posprocessing, etc.) and GUI.

  • Ensure the implementation and integration of stress methods in a multidisciplinary environment.

  • Follow-up and validate sub-contracted activities

ABOUT YOU:

  • Knowledge in Object Oriented Software Developments (C++; python…)

  • Software architecture knowledge.

  • Experience in aerospace engineering structure analysis

  • Knowledge on stress analysis and simulation tools (e.g ISAMI, Hyperworks, Nastran…)

  • Self-empowered and Team Player, strong communication skills, flexible, engaged and curious
