As a Senior Analyst, reporting into the Senior Director, Services Process and Programs (GSSO), you will play a critical role in shaping the best practices Sales and Service Associates at Gartner use to maximize productivity. You will use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to peel back the layers to a business problem, diagnose barriers and build solutions within GSSO and across the broader organization. This role will support defining, analyzing, and understanding the key drivers of Sales and Services Productivity, in collaboration with leaders across the business to develop the right strategies to improve performance. This is a high visibility, high exposure, and high impact role - collaborating across GSSO, Sales, Product, GS&D, BTI and Conferences to develop your skillset and knowledge to bring high quality impact to Gartner. Current and past Programs led by this team include several Corporate level Priorities and GSSO Top Priorities.  

 

What you will do: 

 

  • Support the development and implementation of sales and services strategy to meet business needs and maximize frontline associate productivity: 

  • Lead investigative, exploratory analytics to understand prospect / client engagement behaviors and/or frontline associate value delivery behaviors, with the uber objective of improving NB growth and retention performance. 

  • Use analytical problem solving to determine where to dive deeper into the details, using quantitative and qualitative data to isolate the root causes of performance barriers and identify bright-spot behaviours / high-ROI solutions. 

  • Diagnose the barriers that limit effective execution of highimpact seller and/or service associate activities by synthesizing voice-of-clients, frontline feedback, and performance metrics. 

  • Leverage strong interview and qualitative problem-solving skills to gain leadership and frontline associate insights/feedback to complement quantitative findings / solutions with qualitative context. 

  • Support diagnosis of implications and ensuing client-readiness activities for Sales and Services around big-splash, transformative changes. 

  • Develop a passion for the client perspective and bring it to your work as a north star. Also, understand the perspective of the frontline associates. Understand the world from their point of view, develop a passion for making them successful at everything they do. 

 

What you will need: 

  • Graduation in Engineering, Math or Statistics with 2  5 years in business analytics; prior Strategy and Operations is an added benefit but not a must-have requirement. 

  • Experience with advanced data manipulation and summarization skills using Python and supporting AI tools / capabilities, esp. the ability to verify, debug, and optimize AI-generated code. 

  • PowerBI experience working with data sets for advanced analysis and on-tap visualization. 

  • Strong SQL and data bricks knowledge to fetch relevant data from warehouse and optimize local extracts for querying efficiency. 

  • Above-average know-how of statistical (e.g. regression, multi-collinearity addressal) and machine learning (e.g. decision tree) techniques to extract actionable insights from engagement and retention data. 

  • Table-stake skills: Learning agility, champion mindset, strong written and verbal communication, quantitative and qualitative problem-solving and ability to work through ambiguity and Excel + PPT proficiency.
