We are seeking an experienced Strategy & Planning – Senior Manager to join the Global Strategy & Planning team at Marsh. Our Strategy & Planning team is dedicated to driving strategic initiatives that enhance our operational efficiency and deliver exceptional value to our stakeholders. This is a senior role that will be responsible for leading Strategy & Planning initiatives globally. This person will report into the Global Strategy & Planning Leader and will sit in our NYC office.

 

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in strategy development and business planning, preferably within the financial services or insurance industry.  Management consulting experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences – especially to senior executive level audiences.
  • Exceptional PowerPoint and presentation abilities.
  • Exceptional Excel and financial analysis abilities.

 

We will count on you:

  • To lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that align with Marsh’s overall business objectives and drive transformation within the US market.
  • To manage multiple planning phases throughout the planning lifecycle and oversee complex projects from start to finish while engaging with executive level stakeholders.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Create materials for showcasing strategic priorities the team is working on designed for executive level audiences.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with business and operational leaders / stakeholders for the various strategic initiatives in Operations and the business.  

 

What you need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 6 years of strategy & planning experience

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $125,500 to $267,300.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
