The team supports enterprise level priorities including long range planning, governance, executive and board materials, and Global Operations M&A strategy and integration, helping ensure operational excellence as the business scales. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

The Advisor – Strategy & Planning, Global Operations plays a critical role in advancing TransUnion’s Global Operations strategy and supporting the COO’s agenda. This role exists to provide strategic insight, structured execution, and cross‑functional coordination across high‑priority initiatives, with a particular focus on M&A integration, enterprise planning, and executive‑level communication.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive Global Operations strategy execution by supporting strategic planning, growth initiatives, and priority projects aligned to the COO and Global Operations Leadership Team’s objectives.
  • Lead and support M&A integration from a Global Operations perspective, including operational due diligence, Day 1 readiness, and post‑close integration across acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
  • Execute and evolve Global Operations M&A playbooks, frameworks, and integration methodologies to enable disciplined, repeatable execution.
  • Develop executive‑ready materials for board, investor, and senior leadership audiences, synthesizing complex analysis into clear, compelling insights.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives by partnering closely with Technology, Finance, Legal, HR, GTM, Corporate Development, and Operations leaders to mitigate risk and protect enterprise value.
  • Support Global Operations three‑year planning and governance activities within the enterprise strategic planning cycle, including performance reviews, macro‑trend analysis, prioritization, and initiative tracking.
  • Analyze operational performance and trends, using data and qualitative insights to inform decision‑making and recommend actions to leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders, demonstrating sound judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to operate independently across multiple workstreams.

Required Knowledge and Experiences

  • Strategy and operating model experience (3–4+ years)
Experience in strategy, business planning, business case development, or consulting environments to support enterprise‑level decision‑making and long‑range planning across complex organizations.
  • M&A and integration experience
Hands‑on experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including operational due diligence and integration execution, to ensure continuity and value creation during periods of change.
  • Executive communication and storytelling
Proven ability to synthesize complex analysis into clear, executive‑level presentations and narratives that influence senior leaders and boards.
  • Cross‑functional program and project management
Experience managing multiple workstreams across diverse stakeholders, navigating ambiguity, and delivering outcomes in fast‑moving, global environments.
  • Financial services, technology, or SaaS experience (preferred)
Industry experience that supports rapid understanding of regulated, large‑scale, and data‑driven operating environments.

Required Technical Skills

  • Advanced presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Think-Cell, Google Slides) for executive and board‑level materials
  • Data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, BI outputs) to assess operational performance and inform strategic insights
  • Program and project management methodologies to structure complex initiatives and integration activities
