PwC Serbia is looking for a Strategy & Operations Senior Associate or Junior Manager to join our Energy, Utilities and Resources consulting practice in South East Europe.
PwC’s energy, utilities and resources team assists clients on national and corporate level in solving complex strategic and operational challenges in various topics across the energy value chain. Blending strategic thinking with hands-on practicality, our teams of consultants and experts work to develop and implement strategies that solve our clients’ most important problems.
Who you’ll work with
You will be based in Belgrade but part of PwC’s South East Europe management consulting practice and energy, utilities and resources consulting team.
What you’ll do
- Support business development activities with focus on Serbian and SEE market to identify new business opportunities in power & utilities, renewables, oil & gas, resources and other related sub-sectors
- Participate in or co‑lead the development of winning proposals by structuring clear storylines, contributing strong technical inputs, shaping solutions aligned with client needs, and supporting pursuits with clients across Serbia and other SEE markets, including public institutions, international organizations, vertically integrated companies, and specialized energy players
- Build relationship with Client’s team and management
- Independently structure and manage project work‑streams or smaller project modules - conducting high‑quality analyses, developing clear insights, ensuring timely and high‑quality deliverables, and coordinating effectively with teams across South East Europe and the wider PwC network
- Closely work with our South East Europe energy consulting teams, as well as our international teams in CEE and EMEA region
- Present findings and recommendations confidently during client meetings and discussions, ensuring clarity and strong communication
- Participate in the global PwC network to share knowledge and provide a truly global perspective for our clients
- Support the development of others through mentoring and coaching
What we expect from you
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in energy, utilities, renewables, trading, oil & gas, or related sub‑sectors; management consulting experience is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently conduct structured analysis, identify key findings, and formulate clear recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to manage your own work and, for Junior Manager track, oversee small work‑streams or junior team members
- Well-developed understanding of energy‑transition topics
- Confident communication skills with ability to lead or contribute to interviews, present to clients, and engage in structured problem‑solving discussions
- Proactive, collaborative team player able to work in demanding, fast‑paced environments and adapt quickly to new topics
- University education with master’s degree in business or technical field (MBA and/or PhD is a plus)
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in English and Serbian, in both speaking and writing
- Open to travel on project basis
