Though we have an office based in Calgary, this is a remote position that is open to candidates across Canada.
PurposeMed's office is located on the unceded and traditional territories of the peoples of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot First Nation tribes of Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Stoney Nakoda First Nations tribes of Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley and the Tsuut’ina First Nation. The city of Calgary is also homeland to the historic Northwest Métis and to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
Who we hope to find:
We are looking for a Strategy and Operations Manager to help build and scale our new verticals and service offerings as part of PurposeMed’s New Services team. Reporting to the Director, New Services S&O, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving complex challenges, and is excited to make an impact across multiple areas of the business.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, partnering closely with Marketing, Product, Clinical, and Operations, as well as a network of external partners. You’ll help shape new initiatives, identify opportunities for growth, and develop thoughtful, data-informed solutions that strengthen our business. Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and a collaborative approach are key to success in this role.
In this role, you’ll make an impact by:
Leading Initiatives From Strategy Through Execution
- Developing and executing go-to-market strategies for our new services, from initial concept through to launch and scale
- Ideating and scoping new services that align with PurposeMed’s mission and long-term strategy
- Consistently evaluating and iterating on operational workflows, service delivery, and patient-facing processes to drive efficiency and sustainable growth
- Adeptly leading initiatives through to completion by implementing effective project management infrastructure and OKR tracking to ensure visibility, accountability, and progress
Partnering Cross-Functionally to Build and Launch New Services
- Working closely with Marketing, Product, Clinical, and Operations partners to identify opportunities and implement solutions that improve both business outcomes and patient experience
- Facilitating alignment across teams to ensure initiatives are clearly scoped, prioritized, and delivered on time
Using Patient and Business Insights to Drive Improvement
- Reaching out to patients to better understand barriers, motivations, and conversion drop-off points, with a focus on improving the patient journey and conversion outcomes
- Translating qualitative and quantitative insights into clear recommendations that inform process, product, and service improvements
- Regularly evaluating workflows, service performance, and unit economics to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and sustainability
Advancing PurposeMed’s Mission Through Strong Partnerships
- Managing and collaborating with external vendors and partners to ensure alignment on expectations, deliverables, and outcomes
- Evaluating partner performance and identifying opportunities to improve collaboration
- Keeping patient impact at the centre of decision-making, moving forward PurposeMed’s mission on improving access to care for underserved communities
We need someone who has:
- 4+ years of experience in management consulting, high-growth startups, or similar environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong willingness to learn
- Resourcefulness and persistence ,leaving no stone unturned in pursuit of ambitious goals
- Experience using data to uncover insights, measure impact, and tell stories
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with patients, external partners, and internal teams
- Comfort operating in rapidly changing and ambiguous environments
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to structure information, coordinate stakeholders, and manage tasks to create clarity, focus, and drive progress
It would also be great if you have:
- An ability to use SQL or willingness to learn SQL to conduct data analysis
- Experience with the US or Canadian Healthcare system and/or regulatory environments
Compensation:
- $120,000 - $140,000 CAD a year
