Role Purpose:

To partner and act as a high impact strategic partner and “right-hand” for the COO by translating the banks strategic vision into executable operational initiatives and deliverables; driving cross-functional business development, forging and deepening high-value internal and external relationships, to support the delivering of enterprise-wide solutions that accelerate revenue, optimise operations, and strengthen competitive positioning in the financial services sector.

Are you someone who can:

  • Act as the COO’s trusted proxy in high-level internal and external engagements.
  • Represent the organisation in operational and industry forums, ensuring alignment and knowledge sharing.
  • Cascade relevant information to teams for adoption and execution.
  • Coordinate the annual business planning process, including preparation of strategic briefs, presentations, and speaking notes for executive and board engagements.
  • Maintain and continuously develop the Group’s operational strategic roadmap in collaboration with senior management, ensuring alignment with Group strategy and actionable workstreams with clear KPIs.
  • Lead or support high-sensitivity deliverables such as crisis response, turnaround initiatives, and cost optimisation programs.
  • Drive strategic deliverables, change management, and platform integration across operations.
  • Conduct scenario planning and modelling for major operational initiatives, providing concise executive-level reporting.
  • Identify and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and productivity across business areas.
  • Drive innovation and adopt industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of legislative and compliance changes, leveraging insights for operational enhancements.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to manage expectations, share knowledge, and create buy-in for operational initiatives.
  • Foster collaboration to achieve synergies and support strategic objectives.
  • Analyse integrated business reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Use insights to measure success and realign tactical strategies as needed.
  • Act as a role model for continuous professional development and knowledge sharing.
  • Promote a development culture where successes, issues, and ideas are actively identified and shared.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Strategy, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 5+ years’ experience in strategy, business development, or operational management
