Job Description

About this Opportunity

As a Strategic Workforce Transformation & Planning Lead, working with the Senior Manager, you’ll drive the development of our enterprise-wide Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) operating model, using data, insight and innovative thinking to influence strategic decisions and support the Group’s long-term direction. This is a critical and highly visible role that blends operating model design, strategic planning, data-led insight and cross-functional collaboration.

We’re redesigning Strategic Workforce Planning so it becomes an assured, data‑driven input to our biggest decisions. You’ll build and embed an enterprise SWP operating framework, linking financial planning, talent strategy and organisational design, and grow capability across business units.

What you’ll do

  • Bring market & tech intelligence inside: Use external labour market insight, scenario modelling and predictive analytics to anticipate workforce risk and inform investment choices.

  • Advise senior leaders: Provide clear recommendations and constructive challenge to ExCo‑1 stakeholders on build/buy/partner strategies and location planning.

  • Build capability at scale: Develop training and coaching, increasing confidence in SWP tooling, data standards and methodologies across the Group.

  • Design & embed the framework: Roll out governance, standards and cadences (risk, data quality, change control) so workforce plans are reliable and decision‑ready.

Why Lloyds Banking Group

Like the modern Britain we serve, we’re evolving. Investing billions in our people, data and tech to transform the way we meet the ever-changing needs of our 26 million customers. We’re growing with purpose. Join us on our journey and you will too…

What you’ll need

  • Track record leading strategic/operating‑model change at scale with measurable outcomes.

  • Strong quantitative skills—able to translate complex analysis into actionable recommendations.

  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills with senior stakeholders.

  • Programme delivery expertise (plans, interdependencies, governance) and a collaborative style that builds effective networks.

And any experience of these would be really useful

  • Hands‑on experience with AI, predictive analytics or scenario modelling.

  • Exposure to large‑scale transformation and agile operating models.
