About the Role
As a CPE Quoting Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the sourcing and quoting of Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) for Telstra Enterprise’s international customers. You will be responsible for responding promptly to Sales requests, obtaining and negotiating third-party quotes, and collaborating with Sales teams and Technical Consultants to ensure competitive pricing for both routine and complex bids. This position requires direct engagement with suppliers including distributors, resellers, service providers, and vendors and the ability to leverage local supplier relationships when appropriate. You will help drive new business opportunities by ensuring efficient processes and optimal cost structures, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities
Support CPE sourcing and quoting for Telstra Enterprise international customers, including both standard and complex bids.
Respond quickly to Sales requests by obtaining and negotiating third-party quotes within set timelines.
Collaborate with Sales, Technical Consultants, and Sourcing to ensure competitive pricing and efficient processes.
Negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure the most favorable commercial terms.
Ensure the integrity of financial and commercial data throughout the process.
Liaise with suppliers (distributors, resellers, service providers, vendors) and leverage local relationships as needed.
Consolidate quoting inputs, manage cost models, and benchmark costs.
Analyze the market for supplier trends and cost optimization opportunities.
Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity throughout the quoting process.
Provide timely updates to management on quoting activities, supplier performance, and risks.
Seek ways to streamline quoting, using automation and collaborative tools.
Participate in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Uphold professionalism, integrity, and effective communication with both internal teams and external partners.
Requirements
3+ years’ procurement experience, preferably in telecom.
Knowledge of the CPE value chain.
Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and support cross-regional teams.
