The Opportunity
The Enterprise Strategic Sourcing Leader is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, innovation, and supplier performance across the organization. This role partners closely with executive leadership, finance, operations, supplier ecosystem, sectors, and divisions to drive enterprise-wide procurement excellence, mitigate risk, and enable long-term value creation.
Responsibilities
1) Strategic Sourcing Leadership
• Define and lead the enterprise sourcing strategy aligned with organizational goals and growth plans
• Establish strategic sourcing frameworks and long-term sourcing roadmaps
• Act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders on procurement and supply market trends
• Develop supply chain strategies that account for single/sole-source constraints, qualified suppliers, and defense-specific requirements
• Partner with Procurement in executing complex negotiations for long-term agreements, ensuring cost realism and compliance
2) Cost Optimization & Value Creation
• Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities while maintaining or improving quality and service
• Drive demand management and specification optimization initiatives
• Track and report savings, cost avoidance, and value delivery
3) Stakeholder Engagement
• Partner with business unit leaders to align sourcing strategies with operational needs
• Influence decision-making through data-driven insights and market intelligence
• Lead cross-functional teams to execute sourcing initiatives
4) Supplier Relationship Management
• Build and manage mutually beneficial supplier partnerships to drive innovation and performance
• Establish supplier segmentation, governance models, and performance scorecards
• Partner with Procurement on executive-level supplier negotiations and business reviews
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, with significant experience in defense contracting
• Deep knowledge of FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, and government procurement practices
• Proven success in managing complex, regulated supply chains
• Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills
Desired
• MBA or advanced degree
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CPSM, CIPS, NCMA CPCM, APICS)
• Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
• Capture/proposal win support through competitive sourcing strategies
• Experience with defense ERP, MRP, and procurement systems (e.g., Costpoint, Ivalua, Infor, SAP)
• Active or prior U.S. security clearance

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$84,900 - $178,400
