We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Global Category Manager – Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) to develop and lead the implementation of global indirect procurement category strategies.
This role is responsible for driving market analysis, sourcing decisions, and the creation of regional or enterprise-wide strategy plans for assigned categories.
The position ensures alignment with key stakeholders across sites and regions while delivering cost optimization, supplier performance excellence, risk mitigation, and sustainable value creation.
In addition to leading the MRO category, this role will provide flexible sourcing leadership across other indirect spend categories as required by the Indirect Procurement organization, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and evolving business needs.
Category Strategy & Market Leadership
Develop and execute comprehensive global category strategies for MRO, including industrial supplies, spare parts, tools and related services.
Conduct detailed market analysis to inform sourcing decisions and long-term strategy development.
Create and deploy regional or enterprise-wide strategy plans aligned with business objectives.
Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives (RFI/RFP/RFQ), negotiations, and supplier selection processes.
Establish and implement global framework agreements to drive standardization, leverage scale, and maximize value.
Identify and implement cost reduction, value engineering, and demand management initiatives.
Ensure category strategies address both current and future business requirements, positioning procurement as a competitive advantage.
Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
Manage and develop strategic supplier relationships at a global level.
Build strong external partnerships with key suppliers aligned to company core values.
Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and implement supplier performance scorecards
Mitigate supply risks through structured risk assessments, dual sourcing strategies, and supplier diversification.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and regional procurement teams.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure category strategies support operational excellence and long-term growth.
Support plant-level stakeholders on governance, contract compliance, and supplier issue resolution.
Build strong internal partnerships across sites and regions to ensure alignment and successful execution.
Financial & Operational Impact
Deliver annual cost savings and cost avoidance targets.
Monitor market trends, commodity indices, and supply market dynamics to proactively adjust strategies.
Track and report KPIs including savings delivery, compliance rates, supplier performance, and risk mitigation metrics.
Extended Support Across Indirect Categories
Provide sourcing leadership support across additional indirect categories as required by the Indirect Procurement organization.
Lead cross-category initiatives and transformation projects.
Support regional sourcing requirements and enterprise procurement initiatives.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
Post-graduate, certification, and/or license may be required.
8+ years relevant experience for entry to this level.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
