Develop, plan, and execute sourcing strategies that deliver best value, operational efficiency, and supplier performance for the State College site.
Evaluate supply markets and use market intelligence to lead sourcing events, supplier selection, and contract award decisions.
Lead commercial negotiations to secure optimal terms while ensuring proper management of GE HealthCare’s commercial and contractual risk.
Analyze supplier proposals using sourcing tools, ERP systems, and data to support fact‑based decision‑making.
Own sourcing‑related ERPs, processes, and tools; lead process reviews and improvement initiatives.
Build and manage strong relationships with strategic suppliers, ensuring alignment on quality, delivery, cost, and NPI engagement.
Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and drive corrective actions or continuous improvement.
Provide sourcing and supplier support to operations, materials, engineering, and cross‑functional teams.
Deliver reporting, analytics, and insights related to supplier cost, performance, and risk mitigation.
Apply technical judgment and analytic thinking to resolve complex sourcing or supplier issues.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, explaining technical and commercial information clearly and providing informal guidance to new team members.
Support special initiatives, productivity programs, and ongoing enhancements to sourcing policies and processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field plus 4 years of experience
OR Associate’s degree plus 6 years of experience
OR High school diploma/GED plus 8 years of experience
Experience in sourcing, or supply chain within a complex or technical manufacturing environment.
Experience leading commercial negotiations and executing supplier agreements.
Experience analyzing supplier proposals, cost data, or market information to support sourcing decisions.
Experience using Oracle ERP system or similar
Experience working with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Operations, Quality).
Experience managing multiple projects or priorities and delivering results within defined timelines.
Willingness to travel up to 15%.
Professional certifications such as APICS, CPIM, CSCP, CIPS, or equivalent.
Experience supporting supplier engagement in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
Experience with ERP systems related to sourcing or materials management.
Background in medical device, regulated manufacturing, or GE HealthCare supply chain environments.
Experience owning and improving sourcing‑related processes, tools, or systems.
