This position is responsible for promoting sales with clients, developing relationships, and managing current accounts. This position serves as the primary point of contact for all parts of the strategic account deal: prospecting leads, selling, closing profitable deals, managing ongoing marketing, as well as making enhancements to the deal. More specifically, the position is responsible for developing and guiding the implementation of account-specific business plans, serving as the primary account contact, providing account leadership, and ultimately achieving growth, profitability and sales-to-target goals. The position partners cross-functionally with the operations and other Sales teams to deliver vertically integrated single source solution.

EDUCATION:

Required:  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in experience and education

Preferred:  Master’s Degree or equivalent in experience and education

EXPERIENCE:

Required:  5-7 years of experience in a related field

Preferred:  7+ years of experience preferred, working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel highly preferred.  Previous experience in the food and beverage industry.

Required:   Must possess strong mechanical aptitude, customer service focus, social and interpersonal skills, active listening skills, and effective communication skills.  Must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment and meet time-sensitive deadlines. Must be highly organized, and able to work with various types of personalities.

Preferred:  Beneficial to have strong critical thinking, persuasion, and comprehension skills.  Knowledge of the composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.  Adaptable and open to change, high energy, self-starter, hands on.


CORE COMPETENCIES (Essential Job Functions)

Manage strategic accounts; build and maintain relationships with key customers’ senior executives to grow sales, profitability and market share. Under general direction, develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan that includes new and existing sales strategies for key accounts. Mine sales data to identify new customer accounts and make informed recommendations regarding product/service terms that will maximize sales and profits. Employ a standardized qualification process to gather information about accounts, identify decision makers, understand business challenges and priorities of customers senior management, analyze data and prioritize opportunities critical to accounts. Conduct monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews with customers’ senior management to understand their needs and link them to Advance product/service strategies. Work cross-functionally with the marketing department to develop proposals, account or market plans, and forecast/report sales activity, with accountability for meeting/exceeding sales targets. Ensure professional sales coordination and account planning and resolves possible account ownership issues. Completes special projects upon requests, and other duties may be assigned. Work as the overall Corporate Account “Owner” for all products and services supplied by The Vincit Group’s Member Companies.
