The Strategic Program Manager plays a critical role in shaping and scaling the Maersk Ground Freight business through strategic programs, insight-driven problem solving, and cross-functional execution. This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, product evolution, analytics, and process improvement, translating market and customer insights into structured initiatives that drive sustainable growth.

The role leads complex, multi-stakeholder programs that improve how Maersk Ground Freight goes to market, develops products, and manages demand, ensuring strategic intent is converted into executable plans with measurable impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop competitive and market insights across industries, customer segments, and usage patterns of ground freight services

  • Identify structural gaps, growth constraints, and step-change opportunities across products, programs, and commercial motion

  • Lead market and customer intelligence research to inform new features, product enhancements, and strategic initiatives

  • Design and lead strategic programs from concept through execution, including clear objectives, milestones, and success metrics

  • Translate insights into structured initiatives with defined timelines, deliverables, and ownership across teams

  • Drive continuous improvement of commercial and operational processes supporting growth and scalability

  • Act as the liaison across Marketing, Finance, Product, Sales, and Operations to align priorities and execution

  • Coordinate inputs from multiple teams to ensure strategic initiatives are coherent, actionable, and supported end-to-end

  • Enable cross-functional decision-making through data-backed recommendations and clear narratives

  • Support sales cycles through strategic deal shaping and product upsell identification

  • Build scalable internal and external collateral to support product training, commercial conversations, and go-to-market readiness

  • Build predictive models to assess the impact of programs, customer engagement, and commercial initiatives

  • Use data and analytics to monitor pipeline health, assess opportunity inflow, and guide prioritization decisions

Key Capabilities & Experience:

  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to resolve ambiguous problems

  • Proven experience leading complex programs or initiatives across multiple teams

  • Ability to translate insights into executable plans and measurable outcomes

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; strong comfort with forecasting, financial modeling, and data analysis

  • Experience with pipeline management, CRM tools, and commercial analytics

  • Background in strategy, consulting, product and project management, market intelligence, or business transformation preferred

  • High attention to detail combined with the ability to operate at a strategic level

  • Strong communicator able to influence across functions and senior stakeholders

Pay Range:             

 

$95,000-$110,000*   
 

 

*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.  The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
