The Strategic Partnerships Manager advances the ECE Division’s external relationships, recruitment outreach, digital presence, and engagement initiatives. This position cultivates and maintains strategic partnerships with industry, alumni, community stakeholders, and academic pipeline partners, while coordinating graduate and undergraduate recruitment outreach. The role oversees the Division’s public-facing communications, including the ECE website, newsletters, social media platforms, and promotional materials, ensuring alignment with college branding and messaging. Working in coordination with the Department Affairs & Operations Director and Department Chair, this position focuses on relationship development, visibility enhancement, recruitment engagement, and event execution, without responsibility for academic operations, budget management, personnel administration, or departmental compliance functions.
30% Communications & Visibility Management: Manage the Division website, newsletters, and official social media platforms; Produce and coordinate content highlighting research, academic programs, partnerships, and student success; Work with the College of Engineering Communications team to ensure coordinated messaging and brand alignment; Support promotional efforts for Division initiatives and events.
25% Strategic Partnership Development: Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, alumni, professional organizations, and community stakeholders; Identify collaboration opportunities and coordinate engagement activities between faculty and external partners; Maintain structured partnership tracking and provide engagement summaries to Division leadership. Process travel for faculty, staff, interviewees, students, and guests in the department.
25% Recruitment Outreach & Pipeline Engagement; Coordinate graduate recruitment engagement activities, including research showcases, faculty–prospective student interactions, and targeted outreach communications.; Organize undergraduate recruitment initiatives, including high school visits, STEM outreach programs, campus open houses, and community engagement events; Build and maintain relationships with high schools, community colleges, and STEM organizations to support the ECE recruitment pipeline.
15% Event Coordination & Execution; Plan and execute Division events, including alumni programs, industry engagement activities, recruitment events, and research showcases; Coordinate logistics, promotional materials, and post-event communications; Maintain event records and participation summaries.
5% Collaboration with Division Leadership; Work in coordination with the Department Affairs & Operations Director/Manager and Department Chair to support engagement and outreach priorities.; Provide engagement and recruitment activity summaries as requested. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience.
Specific Experience: Experience in partnership development or stakeholder engagement. demonstrated experience managing websites, newsletters, and social media platforms, strong written and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or higher education with 3 years of experience.
Specific Experience: Experience in higher education or STEM environments, experience coordinating industry or alumni engagement initiatives, digital media or photography skills preferred.
