Strategic Financial Planning Analyst

This role will support the planning, evaluation, and execution of strategic initiatives across the organization. This role will play a critical part in driving financial insight and operational alignment by supporting budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, and performance tracking of Guardian’s strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working cross-functionally and will bring a strong mix of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and data visualization capabilities.

You will

  • Strategic Initiative Support

    • Partner with business leaders to evaluate strategic initiatives, including financial modeling, ROI analysis, and risk assessment.

    • Support execution planning by aligning financial and operational goals with initiative timelines and milestones.

    • Track initiative performance against defined KPIs and provide actionable insights.

  • Operational & Financial Planning Support

    • Support budgeting and forecasting processes across departments as it relates to strategic investments.

    • Assist with developing and maintaining dynamic scenario planning models to assess financial impact under varying business conditions.

    • Provide variance analysis and recommendations to improve financial outcomes.

  • Performance Measurement & Reporting

    • Design and maintain dashboards to monitor project performance against financial and operational KPIs.

    • Deliver timely and accurate reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.

    • Continuously improve reporting tools and processes to enhance decision-making.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with Finance, Strategy, and other business functional teams to ensure alignment of financial goals and strategic priorities.

    • Communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.

You have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.

  • 3–5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate strategy, or management consulting.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location:   

Hybrid role - 3 days in a Guardian office located in Holmdel, NJ; Bethlehem PA; Boston, MA or Hudson Yards, NYC. 2 days WFH. 10% Travel to other offices as determined by the People Leader

Salary Range:

$82,770.00 - $135,975.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
