Job Title : Strategic Delivery Leader

ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Strategic Delivery Lead serves as a key operational partner to the CTO, ensuring that Global technology priorities are effectively coordinated, well-communicated, and successfully executed across News Corp. This role is accountable for translating strategy into delivery plans, managing strategic initiatives across functions, overseeing demand and vendor management processes, and providing disciplined operational support to the CTO’s agenda. They will ensure alignment between technology and business outcomes through rigorous planning, stakeholder coordination, and executive communication — enabling the CTO to focus on innovation and enterprise priorities. The role requires a hands-on, delivery-minded leader with strong commercial and analytical acumen, capable of connecting enterprise objectives with practical implementation.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
● Translate GT strategy into actionable delivery plans with clear ownership, milestones, and accountability.
● Coordinate execution of cross-functional initiatives and ensure consistent progress tracking,
communication, and risk mitigation.
● Anticipate interdependencies, issues, and escalation points to maintain delivery momentum.
● Support the CTO in driving alignment between business priorities and technology capabilities.
● Partner with HR and Finance to operationalize workforce planning, span-and-layer design, and cost
optimization initiatives.
Demand & Vendor Management
● Serve as the central coordination point for technology demand intake and prioritization.
● Balance short-term delivery requirements with long-term strategic capacity planning.
● Manage vendor relationships post-engagement, ensuring compliance with contracts, SLAs, KPIs, and
strategic goals.
● Collaborate with Finance and Sourcing to track spend, assess value delivery, and inform vendor strategy.
Financial & Resource Governance
● Partner with Corporate Finance to manage the HQ Technology budget, ensuring disciplined spend
management and transparency.
● Implement governance mechanisms that support financial stewardship and resource optimization.
● Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and progress reports to support data-driven
decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
● Act as a liaison between the CTO’s office and internal partners (business units, product, security, HR, and
finance).
● Prepare executive presentations, technology updates, and board-ready materials that distill complex topics.
● Facilitate leadership forums, ensuring action follow-up and clear communication of decisions.
● Support CTO visibility and engagement through structured messaging and consistent follow-through.
Experience
● 18–20+ years of experience in technology strategy, business operations, or strategic delivery roles.
● Strong background in stakeholder management, vendor oversight, and financial governance.
● Proven track record leading cross-functional execution within large, complex organizations.
● Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills with executive presence.
● Ability to balance strategic foresight with hands-on operational delivery.
● Familiarity with technology functions and emerging innovation trends preferred.
Job Category:
Pay Range: 270,000 - 290,000We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.
