4+ years in strategic sourcing or manufacturing procurement | Hybrid | Antwerp | Amsterdam

 

Own the cost. Shape the supply. Enable scale.

As Strategic Buyer at Loop, you take full ownership of the categories that power our products. From silicones and plastics to soft goods and packaging, your decisions directly impact margin, innovation speed, and production readiness. You do not step into a support role. You step into commercial ownership. Every RFQ you lead, every supplier you position, and every cost model you build moves the business forward in a measurable way.

 

Take full ownership of category strategy and long term value

You build and execute category strategies that drive structural BOM cost reduction without compromising quality or scalability. You break down supplier cost structures, challenge tooling investments with data, and define MOQ and landed cost setups that protect margin at scale. Negotiations are prepared, fact based, and focused on long term advantage.

You position a strong Approved Vendor List across the right regions, ensuring NPI launches with validated, production ready suppliers. You secure DFM alignment and capacity readiness upfront, and translate cost, risk, and manufacturability trade offs into clear decisions that protect timing and margin. Supply risks are identified early and addressed before they slow momentum.

 

Your other responsibilities:
  • Lead RFQs that turn competitive tension into structural margin gains
  • Own supplier onboarding and elevate performance across Quality, Cost, and Delivery
  • Drive dual sourcing and regional diversification that strengthen resilience
  • Support the Industrialization Team for mass production readiness with confidence
  • Build long term supplier partnerships that grow with our ambition

 

How you’ll succeed as a Strategic Buyer

You combine analytical depth with strong commercial instinct. You are comfortable challenging assumptions with data and pushing for better outcomes without damaging relationships. Engineering teams trust you because you understand manufacturing constraints and DFM principles. You stay structured under launch pressure and focus on what truly impacts margin and continuity. Success for you is clear: lower structural cost, strong supplier performance, and production ready launches.

 

These key competences will set you up for success:
  • 4+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or manufacturing buying experience
  • Strong background in plastics, silicones, soft goods, packaging, or consumer goods
  • Proven negotiation track record delivering structural cost reduction
  • Advanced cost modeling expertise (should-costing, tooling, MOQ, landed cost)
  • Experience working with suppliers in the APAC region is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with mass production ramp-up and DFM alignment
  • Experience developing regional sourcing strategies and dual sourcing setups
