Hours: Full time
Working Pattern: We'll need you to be based in Edinburgh for this role as the territory covers this geographical area. You'll work flexibly, splitting your time between 'on the road' meeting clients face to face and working from home.
About the role:
The Strategic Business Development Director will drive the growth of the Intermediary Wealth Platform by engaging with key strategic partners, corporate groups and consolidators at all levels, but in particular with C-Suite executives to secure long term partnerships.
You'll be expected to build robust long term partnerships for the benefits of all stakeholders supporting the growth of AUA, revenue and broader ‘One Lloyds’ solutions, including Scottish Widows investment propositions. The focus will be on profitability and quality of flows (in, out and net) delivery as well as managing persistency and ultimately driving the delivery of market share targets across the Intermediary Wealth platform.
Our Intermediary Distribution function has been identified as an area capable of significant growth and will form a key role in achieving our market ambitions. Our strategy is evolving to match our ambition, and the function is expected to expand to ensure the right capability, capacity and functional processes are in place to deliver our stretching targets. You'll help further shape and drive the strategy along with the support structure.
About this opportunity:
Utilising your own industry connections and utilising relationships held within the Intermediary Distribution business and elsewhere within Lloyds Banking Group will be critical in this role. You'll be responsible for identifying and delivering profitable new partnership deals, ensuring contracting is undertaken on a robust and mutually beneficial basis. You'll lead new white label partnership relationships and exercises through to launch, ensuring governance processes are in place and a smooth handover to those who will manage the relationship on an ongoing basis.
