Strategic Broker Engagement Leader

  • Location: USA –New York- Hybrid and PA-Remote

  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid  

  • The salary range for this role is:  $216,000-405,000K

The Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to drive business growth and profitability by building and maintaining relationships with key retail and wholesale brokers and shaping and executing on our distribution strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and enhance awareness of QBE’s offerings and value propositions with brokers within assigned geography with a focus on office leaders and account executives

  • Manage a portfolio of national broker relationships

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for retail and wholesale brokers within the region, building trusted relationships that promote growth and retention

  • Act as a liaison to one or more our underwriting product teams to the North American Distribution team

  • Support Construction team in business development within the region

  • Facilitate regional pipelining discussions for global brokers and associated follow up activities, working closely with assigned underwriting leaders

  • Develop and grow databases of regional broker contacts and target accounts in coordination with the Distribution analytics team


 

Work Experience:

Preferred Experience

  • Deep relationships with brokers both in the geographical region and at the national level

  • Experience in relationship management and/or business development

  • Proficiency in using data and analytics to inform decision-making and measure success

  • Ability to negotiate, persuade, and influence both directly and indirectly

Qualifications:

Necessary Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • 10+ years of Commercial and Specialty Insurance experience

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate’s professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance. We encourage all candidates to apply, even if their salary expectations fall outside of this range, as we are committed to finding the right fit for our team.
