Overview -

We are seeking an exceptional alliance manager to drive one of HP’s most high visibility partnerships for Personal Systems. In this role, you will serve as a strategic leader for HP with Microsoft — aligning roadmaps, optimizing revenue opportunities, and steering cross-company collaboration on key business initiatives. Reporting to the Microsoft Alliance Strategic Lead, this is a highly strategic, highly visible role requiring deep strategic business acumen, strong project & partner management skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage stakeholder relationships across HP and Microsoft to ensure end-to-end alignment across business, engineering, product, and marketing organizations
  • Apply structure, rigor, and accountability in managing stakeholder touchpoints, tracking performance and follow-up actions, and resolving operational challenges
  • Develop robust analyses based on internal and industry data to drive competitive advantage for both HP and Microsoft
  • Leverage a deep understanding of product engineering / life cycles to create and drive Alliance partnership opportunities across portfolio and GTM initiatives
  • Drive the enablement of integrated solutions that leverage Microsoft platforms and HP’s product and services portfolio.
  • Optimize partner funding by meeting key requirements to maximize ROI
  • Serve as a connector across internal teams, ensuring transparency, enabling field readiness, and providing frameworks to strengthen execution and alignment

  • Strategic & financial acumen – Ability to build, interpret, and optimize business models and investment plans
  • Market & customer insights – Ability to analyze market dynamics and customer behaviors to inform strategic decision‑making
  • Partner management & business development – Skilled at managing high‑value strategic partnerships to create growth opportunities.
  • Program management – Experience planning, executing, and delivering complex cross‑functional initiatives on time with multiple stakeholders.
  • Product & portfolio strategy – Capable of shaping product roadmaps and leading new offerings from concept to launch.
  • Executive management – Comfortable influencing executives and driving alignment across senior‑level stakeholders.

Required Experience

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or any equivalent; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years in strategic alliances, business development, partner management, product management, product marketing, or related roles.
  • Deep understanding of PC/tech industry trends, Windows ecosystem dynamics, and consumer insights.

The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $170,000 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience.
