Strategic Account Partner

About the Team

The Strategic Partnership team at Angi manages our largest partners in the home services industry segment. This is a high-visibility, high-impact team responsible for millions of dollars in revenue and a pivotal role in the company's growth.

What you’ll do:

Angi is seeking a Strategic Account Partner to grow and retain revenue across a portfolio of enterprise service professional partners — ranging from mid-size business to national private equity backed accounts. This role serves as the primary advisor and point of contact for partners, helping them maximize success on the Angi platform through data-driven insights, strategic planning, and consultative guidance.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical thinking with excellent relationship management skills. They are comfortable operating in ambiguity, influencing both partners and internal stakeholders, and identifying opportunities to improve partner outcomes and Angi's business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Ownership

  • Manage a portfolio of Strategic Service Professional partners, serving as their primary point of contact
  • Deliver revenue growth goals through a blend of retention and upselling activities.
  • Build trusted relationships with partner leadership, providing consultative guidance that improves their outcomes and long-term partnership with Angi.
  • Complete regular discovery with your partners, understanding their challenges and keeping a pulse on their business evolution.
  • Lead regular business reviews presenting performance insights, strategic recommendations, and progress against key initiatives.
  • Collaborate with network partners on marketing strategies to help their members successfully grow on the Angi platform.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for partner issues, de-escalting the conversation, driving cross-functional resolution and ensuring timely, transparent communication back to the partner.
  • Make account adjustments as needed to expand locations, edit partner tasks, align on forecast pacing.

Data-Driven Partner Strategy

  • Analyze partner performance metrics — including appointment set rates, cost of marketing, and close rates — to identify trends, growth opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for partners and internal teams.
  • Review performance reports to determine whether strategies are working and recommend changes to account parameters such as spend targets, coverage areas, and communication preferences.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics including close rates, sales funnel performance, and seasonal trends.

Growth & Revenue Expansion

  • Think strategically to identify growth opportunities uniquely tailored to each partner, proactively offering solutions that maximize Angi products and services.
  • Develop client relationships by identifying new growth opportunities and understanding what is essential to each partner's bottom line.
  • Support the execution of growth strategies, pilot programs, and new initiatives while proactively mitigating retention risk.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize value for both partners and Angi.

In this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, customer success, strategic partnerships, or a similar role with book-of-business ownership tied to a revenue objective
  • Experience maintaining a significant book of business ($5M+ annually)
  • Demonstrated ability to own outcomes — not just tasks — seeing issues through to resolution with limited oversight
  • Business development mentality with a proven track record in revenue-generating roles
  • Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into actionable insights; experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with executive-level presentations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple strategic relationships simultaneously with sharp attention to detail
  • Comfortability operating in ambiguous environments and shaping solutions independently
  • Positive, consultative approach when working with both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Experience or strong interest in the home services, marketplace, SaaS, or platform-based business space
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Some travel may be required (~5%)

Compensation & Benefits

  • $58,000 - $117,000
    • $58,000 base salary + performance-based commission paid quarterly
  • Company equity program
  • Full medical, dental, vision package to fit your needs
  • Flexible vacation policy; work hard and take time when you need it
  • Pet discount plans & retirement plan with company match (401K)
  • Technical equipment (i.e. laptop) provided
