We are currently recruiting a Store Planning Executive to join our team, based in North Sydney. This is a full-time opportunity.
ABOUT THE JOB
The store planning function plays a critical role in elevating the overall Brand presence in Australia with an ambitious renovation and expansion plan that will see a complete upgrade of our physical footprint over the next 3-5 years. This role serves as a key contributor to manage and deliver boutique projects following the regional and global guidance from all aspects.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROLE
The Store Planning Executive will serve as a project manager (supporting the Store Planning Manager) in executing small retrofits and assisting in major boutique renovations and new builds. The role requires strong project management skills, built design proficiency, problem solving abilities, exceptional stakeholder communication, and a commitment to sustainability and continuous learning.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
Work with the Store Planning Manager to oversee the end-to-end process for small retrofits and boutique projects: design development, budgeting, scheduling (FF&E), program and delivery.
Review/ modify project drawings and layouts.
Attend site meetings, communicate updates, and help resolve project constraints.
Implement CHANEL's sustainability goals.
Serve as a key liaison between CHANEL teams locally and regionally (Retail, VM, IT, Sustainability, Health & Safety, Fiinance, After Boutique Care Architecture).
Positively foster collaboration and information sharing, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and well-informed.
Orchestrate workflows for efficient project delivery.
Oversee maintenance activities, ensuring fixtures and equipment are always presented to CHANEL’s high standards.
Coordinate and track maintenance works, champion local compliance standards and sustainable practices.
Track boutique maintenance requests, coordinate stakeholders, and maintain project budgets
YOU ARE ENERGIZED BY
With a keen interest in the built environment and a curiosity in the Fashion and the Watches & Fine Jewellery business, the incumbent will be exposed to a broad range of projects and key stakeholders. You will also understand that maintaining the Chanel aesthetic and boutique standards are integral to the client experience, and therefore, will take pride in guiding the boutique maintenance schedule.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Degree in Interior design/ architecture, or design/ construction related field.
Two years’ experience in Interior design/ architecture or construction related field. Experience in retail design/ landlord coordination/ luxury retail exposure advantageous.
Microsoft Office, Excel, project management software (MS Project), Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Strong project management, problem solving, communication, and stakeholder orchestration skills.
Developing understanding of DDA compliance and Australian built standards.
Confident, collaborative, and agile, to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting deadlines.
Open to on-the-job learning and regular travel for site supervision and project support.
Passion for all things beautiful and an interest in CHANEL's design identity.
