Responsible for identifying new site opportunities for future stores, development and design of new stores, management, maintenance and refurbishment of existing stores, plus seismic remediation, refrigeration upgrades, energy efficiency and maintenance, the Foodies Property team are focussed on supporting members and the co-op to deliver for our customers every day.
Te Tūranga – About the role
You’ll be part of a future focused Property Team responsible for leading and executing the store development plans. You’ll proactively identify solutions that enable new thinking in a retail environment and add value to our brands by creating a first-class shopping experience.
To do this, some of what you’ll do is:
· Work with the Design Manager to develop and prepare store retail layout & fitout concept design packages for new developments and refurbishments of existing stores.
· Collaborate with key project stakeholders across the business to ensure design outcomes align with broader initiative, strategic goals, objectives and best practice delivery.
· Actively monitor and audit consultants and suppliers design and construction documentation packages throughout the delivery stages of the project.
· Assist with forecasting project timeframes for new developments and refurbishment of existing stores from concept design to construction and site administration.
· Lead, manage, develop and prepare concept design documentation packages in Autodesk Revit.

He kōrero mōu - About you
As an experienced Store Designer from a retail or commercial environment, you’ll be a self starter, able to manage tasks within assigned processes and able to organise your workload efficiently. FMCG experience is highly desirable.
You’ll also have:
· Diploma in Architecture or a related field
· AutoCAD design skills and Revit experience preferred
· Extensive experience using CAD Applications
· Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Programmes
· Proven ability to prepare design alternatives and present these to key stakeholders
· Detailed working knowledge of applicable legislation
