Stockroom & Production Control Clerk

You play a key role in keeping production moving smoothly. As a Stockroom & Production Control Clerk, you ensure that the right materials are available at the right time by managing inventory, supporting production teams, and maintaining accurate records. Your work directly impacts our delivery timelines, product quality, and overall operational efficiency. You’ll join a collaborative environment where problem‑solving, organization, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

What you’ll do

  • Receive, store, issue, and track materials, supplies, and tools to support production needs.

  • Kit parts according to work order bills of material and replenish materials on the production floor.

  • Perform cycle counts, investigate variances, and maintain accurate inventory records.

  • Monitor stock levels, identify shortages, and notify planning and purchasing as needed.

  • Maintain organized storage areas following safety and lean standards.

  • Coordinate with production, planning, purchasing, quality, and shipping teams to ensure timely material flow.

  • Process completed work orders and receive finished products into stock.

  • Support lean and continuous improvement activities.

  • Serve as a backup for shipping and receiving, including inspection, documentation, packing, and forklift operation.

What you need

  • Strong inventory management skills, including cycle counting and material handling – Required

  • Ability to read bills of material and understand production workflows – Required

  • Familiarity with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for material transactions – Required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel – Required

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate a forklift (or obtain certification) – Required

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in stockroom, inventory, or material control or equivalent combination of education and experience– Required

  • High school diploma or GED; additional coursework or certification in materials/inventory control – Preferred

  • Experience with lean or 7S methodologies, or writing work instructions – Preferred

Salary Range:

$39,000.00-$52,000.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
