Jotun is one of the world's leading manufacturers of paints, coatings and powder coatings. Jotun was founded in Norway in 1926, and after great domestic success, an international expansion started in 1962 which has since taken Jotun all around the world. Jotun Brazil started its operations in 1998 in Rio de Janeiro City. Strategically close to major costumers in the Marine business as well as one of the largest ports in South America, Jotun Brazil established an imports and supply operation that has developed to a main supplier for some of the largest projects in Brazil. Considering the potential of the market in Brazil, Jotun decided to build its first factory in South America at Itaboraí city, right outside the Rio de Janeiro perimeter. The factory construction started in 2012 and in March 2015 the new factory with local production began the mark of a new era for Jotun in South America. Jotun Brazil focuses on the Marine and Protective segments. Jotun protects property and make its mark on your surroundings, from large ships to beautiful structures.
