Hourly Rate:       $18.55

Summary

Legend Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has excellent openings for Bartender at The Greek Theatre. Responsible for – providing high quality customer service during all events, achieving customer satisfaction and accurate accounting of all transactions, including inventory.

Please note that Greek Theatre Food and Beverage employees are covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11, and a condition of employment is union membership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Reports to F&B Personnel in appropriate uniform, for assigned location
  • Sets up and services individual beverage locations
  • Enforce all liquor laws.
  • Verify and account for all liquor inventory.
  • Maintain proper sanitation of work area.
  • Follow proper safety practices in the work area.
  • Maintains the bar and keeps it clean and organized.
  • Provide pleasant and efficient service to customers as well as providing friendly and attentive service.
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently by wearing the uniform assigned to them. (NO Yoga pants, Jeans or leggings) must wear ALL BLACK slip resistant shoes and BLACK casual pants.
  • Prepare all beverage items for sale by mixing drinks according to recipes.
  • Accurately verifies all payments and liquor inventory. 
  • Utilize POS system proficiently.
  • Accept payment for customers’ orders.
  • Compliance with ALL ABC Laws and policies.
  • Follows all rules and regulations which apply to the beverage operations and to SMG Food and Beverage Division.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Lead Bartender and F&B Manager.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience        

  • Must be 21 to apply.
  • Bartending school certificate
  • Minimum 1 year Experience as full-service bartender highly preferred
  • Additional experience may be substituted for education.
  • Received High school diploma or GED.
  • Must have current ServeSafe certification.
  • Must have current TIPs certification.
  • Must have RBS through California Alcohol Beverage Control

Skills and Abilities

  • Positive, customer service-oriented attitude at all times.
  • Knowledgeable about Alcohol drinks.
  • Strong knowledge of sanitary practices
  • Maintains proper grooming and dress code standards.
  • Work ethic encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environment
  • Ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
  • Great time management and memory.
  • Attention to detail.

Other Qualifications 

  • Must have ability to take directions and effectively perform the work.
  • Must have sufficient math ability to accurately count and handle money.
  • Must have basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures.
  • Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Must have a pleasant personality and a neat appearance.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for the duration of shift.
  • Must be able to carry and lift, according to industry standards.
  • Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
