Steward/Dishwasher

 Supports culinary staff- including but not limited to vegetable and light protein prep. Refills line items as called for.  
 Assist with service on stations with direction from Lead / CDC. Light experience required about the nature of each station in venue.  
 Assists venue leadership by stocking all dry and paper goods while receiving product orders. Maintains a well-organized inventory. 
• Stocks all retail items as received. Soda / Snacks / Chips / Candy ETC. Maintains well organized BOH storage of these items + all Dining Services storage areas. 
 Sets up and maintains dish station operation. Wash dishes throughout the day as service dictates. Close dish station each day, thoroughly cleaning, sanitizing. Polishing + other cleaning tasks when required. Special cleaning projects will be assigned as needed.  
 Responsible for overall upkeep of dish station operation. Including informing CDC of chemical ordering + maintenance needs.  
 Ensure all dishes are free of debris, dry and properly neatly stored in assigned areas at appropriate times.  
 Travels to other venues for transportation of product, or as other needs arise.  
 Maintain a safe working environment while performing all duties.  
 Daily communication with Venue Leadership to receive delegated tasks to ensure venue success.   
 Assisting line service staff with wrapping / finishing products or pick up orders during busy service hours. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Working knowledge, ability to understand how to safely use appropriate chemicals as required by position.  

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  
• Regularly required to stand + walk for extended periods; extend and reach with hands and arms; and use hands and fingers to handle, squeeze, twist and manipulate objects, controls and tools. (Repetition)  

• Work environment contains hot products, equipment, sharp knives and daily use of detergents + chemicals. 
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch. 
 Required to be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds and to push/pull carts.  
• Regular kitchen environment expected  
 

REQUIRED TRAININGS: 

  • Knife Skills Training   

  • Receiving Product + Efficient Stocking (FIFO) with CDC of Venue location.  

  • Position specific equipment training (dish machine, etc).  

  • IDEXX Kitchen Safety walk through with CDC of Venue location, Service walk through with Lead (understand venue timing)   

  • Additional trainings may be required
