Position Summary

The Sterility Assurance Shop Floor Specialist is responsible for quality activities in accordance with internal policies, standards, procedures and Global cGMP. This position is part of the Sterility Assurance team with a focus on Contamination Control Strategies.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide Quality on-the-floor oversight with a focus on sterility assurance and contamination control.
  • Observe manufacturing operations in support of clean room behaviors, aseptic techniques ensuringprocedural alignment.
  • Respond to issues independently and escalate more complex issues to senior members.
  • Perform area walkthroughs to identify quality issues, propose remediations and support implementation to ensure the floor and operations are in adherence with cGMP and approved procedures.
  • Author and review department owned documents.
  • Must be skilled in planning and organizing, decision-making, and building relationships.
  • Knowledge of quality processes, including change control, deviations, investigations, and CAPA management.
  • Maintains ISO7 gown qualification status in support of the organization.
  • Able to effectively multi-task.
  • Must be available for weekend and off-shift hours.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

  • Reports into Associate Director Sterility Assurance Shop Floor

Qualifications

  • Must have knowledge and experience with cGMP manufacturing, Quality, and Compliance.
  • Understands Environmental Monitoring, disinfection principles as well as aseptic/cleanroom environments.
  • Supports the Contamination Control Strategy and Quality initiatives that accomplish continuous improvement and enhance site quality systems.
  • Must be action-oriented, customer-focused, skilled in decision-making, building relationships, problem solving, conflict management, planning and organizing, cleanroom behavior coaching and analytical thinking.
  • Must possess an independent mindset.
  • Requires moderate direction to complete more complex tasks; completes routine tasks with little or no supervision.
  • Work is self-directed.
  • Confident in making decisions for non-routine issues. Follows established procedures and performs work as assigned. Intermediate to advanced ability to interpret results and situations and articulate recommendations for resolution
  • Builds relationships internally within and with cross functional teams.
  • Supports team goals to ensure they are achieved.
  • Able to prepare written communications and communicate problems to management with clarity and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications

  • High School Degree required.
  • Relevant college or university degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Compensation Overview:

Summit West - NJ - US: $72,640 - $88,024

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
