The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a sales representative on the Sterility Assurance team, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Drive the sales strategy and execution plan for sterility assurance products to achieve individual and group sales goals.
  • Develop sales strategies for assigned areas and facilities based on product lifecycle maturity stages to protect and grow core product lines against competition.
  • Drive product introduction and continued use activities at GPO facilities.
  • Achieve growth targets for assigned distributors and work with channel teams to execute plans.
  • Collaborate with other sales groups and related departments to contribute to the overall growth of the branch and sales department.

Specific Activities

  • Provide product recommendations and up-to-date medical information to physicians and co-medical staff
  • Target customers include hospital physicians (mainly anesthesiologists), nurses, clinical engineering technicians, and administrative departments such as the central materials department and the supplies department.
  • Conducting events such as conferences, workshops, seminars, etc., in the areas of responsibility.
  • Work with a team of clinical specialists with expertise in sterilization products to drive product adoption through the provision of clinical training and support.
  • Ensure sales activities and opportunity pipeline are well managed and regularly review pipeline health and sales effectiveness to accelerate sales velocity and increase win rates.
  • Work with the IPSS teams and AWC team to build relationships with facilities and distributors.
  • Collaborate with related departments (CS, AE, GMS, etc.) to maximize organizational performance.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, with proven sales experience in the medical device industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proven track record of achieving sales goals through building trusting relationships with different stakeholders in various professions (physicians, nurses, clinical engineering technicians, and administrative departments such as the central materials and supplies department and the utility department).
  • Proven track record of establishing mutually beneficial partnerships with distributors.
  • Proficient in SFDC for effective sales pipeline management and customer relationship management.
  • General English skills (English is often used in internal documents and processes)
  • Standard driver's license

Work location: Tokyo, Japan

Hybrid (Onsite and Remote): Eligible

Travel: May include up to 20% domestic

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
