AVAILABLE COACHING POSITIONS

  • Step Coach

  • Season Dates: Immediate Start - 5/1/26

  • Stipend Amount: $3,000

  • Demonstrated belief in all students and the mission of DSST.

  • Strong character and belief in the core values of DSST.

  • An ability to work and collaborate across lines of difference.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities at one time.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Knowledge of the game and passion for sportsmanship.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Coaching Experience

  • Experience working with diverse age groups and skill levels.

  • Knowledge of sports nutrition and injury prevention.

THE ROLE

  • To live and model the school’s core values with colleagues, students, parents, officials, fans, and the larger community

  • To reinforce the school’s core values, guiding philosophy, rules, and school spirit

  • Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs and goals of individual athletes and the team.

  • Conduct regular training sessions, focusing on technique, strength, endurance, and skill development.

  • Organize and oversee team practices, competitions, and events, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety protocols.

  • All coaches must be willing and able to be trained and approved to drive our activity buses.

  • Growth mindset: You are a lifelong learner; you know that you continually improve to be the best leader possible for your players, and you desire next steps to help you get there.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey strategies and feedback effectively as well as able to communicate with players, families and school staff.

Physical Demands

The employee must have sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
