State Street Corporation’s Corporate Finance division is currently seeking an AVP, LE Reporting. The AVP LE Reporting team leads the preparation of statutory and board of director reporting for State Street’s non-public company requirements (non SEC Reporting) across multiple jurisdictions reporting under both US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards. This particular role will be specifically focused on assisting with the preparation of all aspects of the statutory financial statements, board of director reporting and other ad hoc reporting requirements.
The successful candidate must be a strong, decisive, results-oriented person who can develop and maintain relationships across State Street and with a wide variety of associates, based on trust, teamwork and knowledge. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Specific responsibilities include the following:
Provide US GAAP and IFRS accounting, reporting assistance with State Street’s statutory financial statement reporting function, in the accurate and timely filing of all applicable legal entity statutory and board of director reports, including the annual statutory financial statements and accompanying notes, quarterly financial statements and related analysis for board of director reporting , as well as other filings as needed
Understand accounting transactions and be able to communicate them in financial statement presentation and disclosures both for US GAAP and IFRS
Collaborate with controllers and accounting policy to develop disclosures for new accounting standards, as required
Ability to build relationships and work in a collaborative environment with teams around the globe
Work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with multiple and competing priorities
Participate in the building of an automation and standardization of statutory and board of directors reporting
Collaborating with various businesses partners to identify data sources and attributes to be utilized during automation
EXPERIENCE:
Proven track record of business success, with a minimum of 10-12 years of overall experience, preferably at a large financial services company or in public accounting
Experience in accounting and finance with strong technical knowledge of financial services industry accounting and reporting
Strong working knowledge of both US GAAP and IFRS Reporting standards
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
High level of interpersonal skills and integrity
EDUCATION: Chartered Accountant / CPA
