The Opportunity

We have an immediate opportunity for a State Tax Analyst in our Lake County, Abbott Park, IL location. 

As the State Tax Analyst, you will prepare state income and franchise tax returns for multiple jurisdictions, assist with state apportionment calculations, including property, payroll, and sales factors, prepare tax estimates quarterly, track and implement state tax law changes impacting filings and tax positions, and respond to state tax notices and correspondence. 

What You'll Work On:

  • Prepare state income returns for multiple jurisdictions.

  • Prepare franchise tax returns for multiple jurisdictions.

  • Calculate apportionment for separate entities and work on compiling the domestic combined apportionment. This includes property, payroll, sales factors.

  • Calculate estimates and extensions payments for various entities and jurisdictions. Prepare tax estimates and extension vouchers for assigned jurisdictions.

  • Track legislative changes and analyze the impact to our company.

  • Investigate all notices assigned and resolve the open issues.

  • Assist with state income tax audits.

  • Assist with state income tax projects.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree

  • 1+ years of relevant experience

The base pay for this position is

$50,700.00 – $101,300.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
