Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented intern to support our client service team during the summer. This role is designed for a student who is interested in learning how client relationships are managed within a global financial services organization and who enjoys working with data, processes, and cross‑functional teams.

The intern will assist the client service team with day‑to‑day operational and administrative activities that support the delivery of high‑quality service to our clients. The successful candidate will demonstrate curiosity, professionalism, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn in a deadline‑driven environment. This role provides exposure to client servicing workflows, internal systems, and collaboration across operations, accounting, and other partner teams.

The client service team plays a critical role in ensuring our clients receive timely, accurate, and responsive service. We act as the primary point of coordination between clients and internal teams, helping translate client needs into operational outcomes.

As a client service intern, you will contribute to the smooth execution of client service activities while gaining hands‑on experience in financial services, client relationship management, and operational processes within State Street. Your support will help the team maintain service standards, manage client deliverables, and continuously improve how we serve our clients.

What You Will Be Responsible For

As a client service intern, you will:

  • Assist client service managers with day‑to‑day client servicing activities and operational support
  • Help prepare, review, and organize client deliverables such as reports, presentations, and service documentation
  • Support tracking of client requests, inquiries, and action items to ensure timely follow‑up and resolution
  • Assist in maintaining internal client records, service trackers, and shared documentation
  • Help coordinate information flow between client service, operations, accounting, and other internal teams
  • Participate in meetings, take notes, and assist with follow‑up actions as needed
  • Support ad‑hoc projects related to process improvement, client reporting, or service initiatives
  • During the course of normal day‑to‑day activities, identify any unusual or potentially suspicious activity and escalate in accordance with corporate policies and procedures

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • Interest in financial services, client service, or operations
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); experience with data tracking or reporting is a plus
  • Ability to work in a structured, deadline‑oriented environment, particularly during peak periods

Salary Range:

$37,440 - $43,680 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
