Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Standardization Engineer (f/m) to join our Materials and Processes Team based in Toulouse, France.

In the Standardization Team we coordinate and provide the Standard documents to define the standard products we buy for the use in our Airbus Aircrafts. We create and maintain the standard data for their use inside and outside of Airbus for the design, the production, for the in-service and for the procurement of the standard products.

We are a part of the Airframe Materials and Processes Organization. We are a central Standardization Team for all Airbus Operations; this includes Cabin and Mechanical and Electrical Systems installations.

Your challenges:

  • Management of Standardization for an agreed technical perimeter

  • Coordination of Standardization in a locally selected perimeter with the specific tools and documents as locally used

  • Data Management to support local needs

  • Participate to the development of digital standards, for an end-to-end data continuity of standard data in collaboration with the data specialists in the Standardization team

  • Drive improvement projects

  • Participate and influence public standard activities in selected national or international standardization bodies such as AFNOR, DIN, BSI, EN, ISO etc.

  • Contribute to knowledge, best practice and lessons learnt are captured and deployed

  • Interface and communicate with relevant stakeholders,

  • Provide support to our internal customers

  • Contribute to develop Team ability to put in place collaborative Way of Working and ensure mutual assistance between the international team Members

  • Prepare the Future fostering Improvements & Innovation within the team

Coordination of various stakeholders like:

  • Design

  • Manufacturing

  • Procurement

  • In-Service

  • Material and Products Qualification Teams

Your boarding pass:

  • Team player

  • Good understanding of standard documents and their usage in the various Airbus domains: Design, Manufacturing, Procurement and Customer Service

  • Knowledge of document management and a spirit of high-level quality work

  • Basic understanding of data management

  • Leadership approach to combine the various stakeholders to achieve the agreed objectives

  • Global understanding of the Airbus organization and the Airbus processes in Design, Materials and Processes Qualification and Manufacturing

  • Background in design or manufacturing would be a plus

  • Good communications and presentations skills

  • Leadership skills, pro-activity and energy to anticipate and support changes

  • Ability to work in an international and interdisciplinary environment

  • English: Advanced level
