Stand Attendant

The Concession Stand Attendant plays an essential role in delivering a legendary guest experience by preparing and serving food and beverage items in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Working within a cashless venue, this position is responsible for operating point-of-sale (POS) systems to process electronic payments, maintaining cleanliness and organization in assigned areas, and ensuring adherence to Legends’ food safety, alcohol service, and customer service standards.

The Role

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring efficient service and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems to process debit and credit transactions in a cashless environment, ensuring secure handling of all electronic payment methods and maintaining proper records of all sales.
  • Set up and stock concession stands before opening, including food, beverages, utensils, condiments, and display items, following established checklists.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shift — including counters, equipment, floors, and condiment stations — in accordance with Legends’ Food Safety and Sanitation policies.
  • Monitor product quality and temperature control, ensuring compliance with safe food handling procedures.
  • Restock supplies and product inventory during service as directed by the Stand Lead or Supervisor.
  • Support responsible alcohol service in compliance with the Smart Serve certification requirements and Legends Alcohol Management policies.
  • Follow all opening, operating, and closing procedures, including proper equipment shutdown, product storage, and cleaning assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient stand operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Stand Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.

  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional guest service and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of team members and guests.
  • Proficiency in basic technology and ability to learn and operate modern POS systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing demands while maintaining composure and professionalism.

Knowledge, Education, & Experience

  • Smart Serve certification required (minimum age of 18 to serve alcohol in Ontario).
  • Previous experience in concessions, quick service, or customer service is an asset but not required.
  • Knowledge of basic food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic POS systems and cashless payment operations considered an advantage.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods (up to 5 hours per shift).
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and handling of food service equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with fluctuating temperatures.
