We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as the Stakeholder Engagement Lead, reporting to the General Manager.
A bit about your role
Stakeholder engagement continues to be a critical enabler of nbn’s ability to deliver its strategic, operational and regulatory commitments.
The Stakeholder Engagement team sits within Corporate Affairs, helping to strengthen trust, collaboration and reputation with key external stakeholders across industry, community and emergency services.
The Stakeholder Engagement Lead will grow and maintain exceptional relationships both internally and externally with stakeholders across four workstreams:
The Stakeholder Engagement Lead strengthens and supports high‑quality engagement across a wide range of projects in these workstreams while also supporting nbn’s three-year regulatory cycle.
This role offers meaningful exposure to complex, high ‑impact work and the opportunity to influence how nbn strategically engages and partners with stakeholders and communities.
A bit about you
The ideal candidate brings five years professional engagement experience and should be able to demonstrate the design (strategic planning) and delivery of engagement activities with external stakeholders across government, industry and community groups.
The candidate should be familiar with the IAP2 Spectrum of Public Participation and ideally have a Certificate of Engagement.
The candidate must be prepared to work as a State Emergency Management Liaison Officer (Victoria or Queensland) and act as the interface between Corporate Affairs and the state emergency management agencies. Experience in emergency management liaison, incident response, and an understanding of stakeholder, government and engagement practices are also key to success in the role.
Ideally the candidate will have some experience working within a regulated authority.
Strong communication, influencing and relationship‑building skills are essential, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate work effectively.
