Your Team, Your Impact

Field Application Engineering Team at Marvell India is the first point of contact for customer engineering issues. A growing team of highly skilled and motivated trouble shooters, they are responsible to support customers integrating Marvell products, helping them during the entire product cycle from pre-sale evaluations to design, bring up, production and post production.

What You Can Expect

  • Driving and sustaining best-in-class technical support/engagements, and demonstrated success in helping technically to Win complex design opportunities.
  • Must be professional, detailed, customer-oriented, self-driven and able to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet customer needs.
  • Should be able to work closely with customers on projects, own programs, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve customer reported issues in a timely manner to enable customer product launches.
  • Review customer schematics and layout. Hands-on bring-up and help debug of customer boards.
  • Support customer lab/field trials. Demonstrate abilityto understand customer application environment and provide insights on how Marvell products are leveraged.
  • Should strive to be a regional subject matter expert on Marvell Ethernet Phy portfolio.
  • Interface with other regional/WW FAE Team members, R&D teams and product management to escalate and resolve issues.
  • Own customer programs and support customer teams integrating Marvell products in their designs and assist them in board/software bring up.
  • Replicate issues using customer configurations in a lab environment for issue investigations.
  • Prepare and present technical demos and trainings for tradeshows and customers when necessary.
  • Author technical knowledge base articles for use by customers, other technical support personnel, and partners.
  • Travel to customer onsite locations would be required on need basis.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree and or/Master’s degree in computer science/Electronics/ Electrical Engineering or related fields and 5 - 10 years of software development background.
  • Should be Proficient in C language and possess very good debugging skills. Experience on Python is a plus.
  • Understanding Embedded Operating System concepts and prior experience in working on L1 drivers and L1(Phy) - L2(MAC) interoperability issues is desirable. Experience on L2 Switching and/or Ethernet MAC in Processors is a plus.
  • Knowledge of complex mixed signal IC, PHY, Optical Transceivers, SerDes, high-speed interface protocols/signaling and standards.
  • Strong influence and excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with ability to analyze, summarize, and communicate efficiently (written and verbal) in a multicultural environment.
  • Familiarity with high-speed PCB layout, signal integrity, board assembly, and manufacturing is a plus
  • Expertise on high-speed Copper and HSC/Opt ethernet interfaces including 10G /40G /100G/ 400G is preferred.
  • Having working experience with Macsec and PTP is a plus. Experience in Software development of Networking products like L2 Switches, Routers and other networking equipment is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of using lab equipment including high speed oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and traffic generators is desirable.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience in technical customer engineering role is a plus.
