Micron

Staff/Sr Engineer, Data Engineer, TD Planning

Fab 10N/X, Singapore Full time

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Join an inclusive team passionate about one thing: using their expertise in the relentless pursuit of innovation for customers and partners. The solutions we build help make everything from virtual reality experiences to breakthroughs in neural networks possible. We do it all while committing to integrity, sustainability, and giving back to our communities. Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.

The TD Planning Data Engineer improves operational visibility by creating analytics, forecasting models, and scenario evaluation tools that boost TD line performance and support smooth co-location with HVM operations. The role maintains strong data pipelines and infrastructure to provide accurate and timely planning inputs. It also delivers automation solutions using Micron-approved AI systems—including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Mia, MAX, Claude Code, and other authorized tools within the global Micron AI ecosystem. Using AI-enabled workflows, UiPath automations, and predictive validation logic, the engineer simplifies planning processes and lowers manual effort across a worldwide network. The position also works closely with TD, HVM, global engineering teams, and planning groups to align assumptions, aid decision making, and communicate insights clearly to both technical and leadership audiences.

Responsibilities:

Planning Analytics & Data Science

  • Build analytics that strengthen access to TD line performance, cycle time, queue time behaviors, and efficiency trends.
  • Develop models that support scenario evaluation, forecasting, performance tracking, and resource planning.
  • Provide data-driven insights that support decision-making for development wafers operating within HVM shared lines.
  • Collaborate with HVM, Engineering, and Planning teams to maintain alignment on shared capacity impacts, line performance, and operational guardrails.

Data Engineering & Infrastructure Support

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the current TD data engineering and infrastructure.
  • Develop reliable data pipelines and infrastructure to maintain timely, accurate, and consistent delivery of planning inputs across tools, reports, and workflows.

Automation, AI, and UiPath BOT Development

  • Leverage deep knowledge of TD Planning processes to analyze operational workflows, identify inefficiencies through AI-enabled process insights, and recommend automation solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Build and develop intelligent automation solutions—including UiPath BOTs improved with machine learning and generative AI components—to reduce manual workload.
  • Build and deploy attended and unattended workflows that apply AI-based data extraction, automated validation, and predictive logic. These workflows pull data, prepare planning inputs, generate standardized reports, and validate key performance indicators.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with TD, HVM, Engineering, IE, Ops, and Planning teams to align assumptions, validate insights, and support business needs.
  • Participate in internal planning cycles, operational discussions, and improvement initiatives.
  • Convey findings clearly to both technical and leadership groups.

Successful Candidates should have the following Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Manufacturing Science (scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning).
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes related to capacity planning, automation, scheduling, cycle time, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, time-management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills with ability to fix complex problems and address root causes.
  • Solid understanding of statistics, data analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to identify, develop, propose, and implement effective plans to improve overall efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Business Analytics
  • At least Two or more years of experience in Operations/Manufacturing
  • Must have experience in developing reports in Tableau or Power BI
  • Expertise in Tableau/Power BI, SQL, ETL and AI related tools (such as Copilot, Claude)
  • Preferred: Familiarity with the semiconductor manufacturing process related to capacity planning, automation, scheduling, cycle time, and manufacturing efficiency.
