Job Summary
This position will be responsible for overall staffing operations to ensure that clients’ staffing needs are met. The incumbent will coordinate scheduling needs for all areas of clinical and non-clinical service lines, and will build and maintain a strategic partnership with the client through an extensive and detailed understanding of the client's business, strategic direction, processes and policies in order to understand staffing needs.
Note: This is a temporary position created to support the implementation of Memorial Hermann’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. The assignment is expected to end around October 2027, at which time the position is expected to end. Temporary employees may not be eligible for all benefits and internal transfer opportunities. Additionally, policies may limit eligibility for internal transfer opportunities during the duration of this temporary role.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associates degree required; Bachelors degree preferred in HR, Business Administration, or related field
Licenses/Certifications: (None)
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- Minimum of three (3) years of office experience, preferably in a healthcare, human resources or staffing setting
- Ability to perform independent analysis and interpretation of data, including independently analyzing and prioritizing daily staffing coverage
- Proven analytical, data management and computer skills using Workforce Management Software
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in interactions with Central Staffing employees and hospital administration; acts with minimum supervision
- Must have above average verbal, written, grammar and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment under pressure managing changing priorities, meet deadlines, and be tactful and diplomatic
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office products and web based applications, including intermediate data analysis in Excel
- Demonstrates strong organization skills and problem-solving ability with the ability to coordinate staffing for multiple facilities
Principal Accountabilities
- Manage a primary function for the staffing department and ensure per diem staffing requests/needs are received, filled and validated by effectively using workforce management software.
- Prepare and manage a six (6) week schedule for 150+ employees, including daily maintenance in an electronic database.
- Monitor and quickly address daily staffing and census fluctuations/vacancies for 360+ departments using the workforce management software to minimize overtime and enhance patient satisfaction.
- Actively seek and match available caregivers by phone, regular mail and email as described in the most current process.
- Provide professional recommendations on best caregivers to match a need.
- Manage adherence to shift commitment levels and education requirements for 150+ employees ensuring levels are reached, and notifying leadership of non-compliance.
- Ensure that all communications will be used to ensure all open shifts are filled to the best of our abilities.
- Respond to payroll inquires, assists managers and employees with problem resolutions.
- Audit, update and approve all payroll entries every shift.
- Maintain deep knowledge of all facilities, locations and areas served to ensure the highest level of customer service and met needs.
- Maintain a current contact list at all times for assigned facilities and their representatives to ensure smoothness of communication.
- Develop and produce reports analyzing the current requests of the System to ensure appropriate projections of future needs based on current needs.
- Will adhere by all policies applicable to position.
- Act as new hire liaison for Central Staffing.
- Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
- Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
