This Staff Technician role will primarily focus on fabrication of panel assemblies for lab testing.  Fabrication may include but is not limited to composite lay up, coating application, and/or mechanical assembly. This role also offers the opportunity to work on tasks within the lab which involve destructive or non-destructive testing.

Candidate’s responsibilities will generally focus on fabrication but will have opportunities to contribute to other tasks and projects which support the Riverside Testing Group. 

What You Will Do:

• Work under moderate supervision

• Read and follow lab planning, lab procedures and work instructions.

• Interpret basic blueprint/drawings if required.

• Read and follow specification requirements

• Check work visually and dimensionally using required documentation to verify configurations, quality and identify nonconformance from workmanship of self and others.

• Use computers and office equipment to record and process transactions.

• Keep equipment and surroundings neat, clean and organized.

• Perform related duties as required within the scope of this job function as well as willing to learn other processes to broaden skillset

What You Will Learn:

• Hands-on composite manufacturing processes.

• How to read & understand manufacturing documents and engineering drawings.

• How to work as a key member of an engineering test lab team.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

• Composites fabrication experience (e.g. lay-up).

• Previous mechanical assembly experience.

The salary range for this role is 58,400 USD - 111,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
