The Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in ensuring product and process quality by supporting and maintaining Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. This position provides real-time quality support on the production floor, conducts audits and process evaluations, and partners closely with Quality Engineers to address nonconforming material, corrective actions, and product containment. What You Will Do:

  • Perform product and process audits, including Process Walks (LPAs), Surveillance, and Certifications 

  • Enforce quality policies and procedures to maintain product integrity 

  • Support operator and inspector skill development through hands-on training and coaching 

  • Coordinate suspect product containment and corrective actions with Quality Engineers 

  • Identify quality trends and lead Sherlock Investigations to support Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) 

  • Manage the flow of non-conforming materials (NCMs) in accordance with site procedures 

  • Create and deliver Quality Alerts to communicate quality-related changes impacting the production floor 

  • Collaborate effectively across teams and communicate clearly at all levels 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

  • Working knowledge of hand tools and measuring equipment 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, customer specifications, purchase orders, and written and verbal instructions 

  • Proven ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions 

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently 

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously 

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to all levels of employees

  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams 

  • Experience leading projects or initiatives from start to finish

The salary range for this role is 53,100 USD - 100,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
