Your Role
We’re looking for a seasoned Staff Software Engineer who thrives on technical depth and broad influence. You’re as comfortable designing architecture as you are shipping code, and you care deeply about developer experience, scalability, and performance. You’ve likely led modernization efforts, built shared frameworks or design systems, and enjoy helping others adopt better patterns at scale.
As a Staff Software Engineer on the Cloud Engine Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in scaling our cloud-native data processing engine, ensuring it meets the demands of performance, reliability, and future growth. You’ll collaborate closely with Senior Engineers, Product Managers, and UX Designers to architect robust solutions, drive informed design decisions, and champion best practices. Beyond technical leadership, you’ll actively mentor and empower the team—multiplying their skills and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role: Part Architect, Part Builder, and Part Mentor. You’ll lead by example, designing a scalable data processing system, modernizing legacy codebases, and guiding engineering teams toward better patterns, tooling, and practices.
NOTE: Candidates must reside in Canada or The United States.
