Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer who excels at technical problem-solving and has a broad impact across the organization.  You’re skilled at designing and shipping high-quality code, with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and performance.  You have architected and built large scale, distributed systems, and implemented shared frameworks or design systems.  You take pride in supporting and educating others.

As a Staff Engineer, you’ll play a leading role in designing, developing, and supporting embedded Linux software, focusing on Python application engineering.  Your work will span traditional web application development, Linux system development, and IoT software development.  You’ll identify and implement iterative improvements to legacy software running on the device today and play a leading role in bringing our next-generation products to market.

In this role, you’ll be a builder, collaborator, and mentor.  You’ll work alongside engineers from your team, and across the organization to implement improvements to the core infrastructure running on the Graykey.  You’ll drive technical decision making with a willingness to listen, and a bias towards action.
