Diligent corporation

Staff Software Engineer

Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Full Time

Are you ready to architect the future of ethical business? At Diligent, you won’t just contribute to a product; you’ll help lead the technical evolution of our new AI-Native product — an AI-powered intelligence layer that enables the world’s largest organizations to navigate the complex landscape of ESG and sustainability. If you are passionate about high-scale SaaS and the cutting edge of GenAI-driven products, your next big challenge starts here.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will own the technical architecture and delivery of a mission-critical platform designed to automate and streamline supplier due diligence. You will not only design systems but also actively write and review complex, production-grade code across Node.js and React ecosystems, while integrating advanced AI/ML capabilities using AWS Bedrock and Python.

You are a deeply hands-on technical leader who thrives on building distributed systems and microservices that are scalable, reliable, and secure. From designing advanced RAG pipelines to implementing resilient backend services, you will operate at the intersection of architecture and execution — setting engineering standards through both technical direction and high-quality code contributions.

Acting as a force multiplier across teams, you will bridge product vision with engineering excellence, ensuring our new AI-Native product becomes a benchmark for AI-driven GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) solutions.

This platform is an AI-native intelligence engine that mines and synthesizes information from vast, distributed knowledge sources, transforming how enterprises manage compliance and sustainability at scale.

What You’ll Do

Architect the Intelligence Layer
Design and implement the core AI-driven architecture for a complex, multi-tenant SaaS platform. Integrate cloud-native AI services and frameworks into our global product ecosystem.

Set the AI Standard

Essentials for Interview Consideration

Systems Architecture (8+ Years)
Extensive experience architecting distributed microservices and modern SaaS platforms at scale. Strong system design expertise across frontend (React), backend (Node.js, Python), and databases (Postgres, Vector DB or similar) is required.

Dual-Stack Proficiency
Expert-level hands-on Python skills combined with deep knowledge of the Node.js/React ecosystem.

Production AI Expertise
Proven experience deploying AI/ML systems in production using AWS Bedrock and RAG-based architectures, with strong understanding of LLM capabilities, limitations, and safety considerations.

Advanced RAG Mastery
Deep knowledge of vector database architectures, hybrid search strategies, and optimization at scale.

Security & DevOps Leadership
Strong expertise in application security (OWASP, threat modeling, AI security), authentication and authorization, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices.
